Fey joins Gervais comedy dream team

Mean Girls writer and former Saturday Night Live star Tina Fey is the latest addition to Ricky Gervais' directorial debut This Side Of The Truth, according to the actor's blog.

Other new recruits joining Fey, who also writes and stars in critically-acclaimed sitcom 30 Rock, include Spinal Tap's Christopher Guest, Arrested Development and There's Something About Mary star Jeffrey Tambor, and John Hodgman - a regular on US comedy hit The Daily Show.

Also on board are Rob Lowe (Wayne's World, The West Wing), Jonah Hill (Knocked Up, Superbad) and Jennifer Garner (Juno, Catch Me If You Can).

And Ricky Gervais - obviously.

This Side Of The Truth will tell the story of a world where nobody has ever lied, until an unscrupulous writer takes advantage of things to get ahead.

It is the second Hollywood project slated for 2009 for The Office and Extras star Gervais - he is also working on a film version of his book series Flanimals.
