27 Dresses holds on to number one

4 stars out of 5.0

Fellow Hollywood import Never Back Down claimed number four this week, followed by The Spiderwick Chronicles at five.

Highly-rated animated comedy Dr Seuss' Horton Hears A Who! - starring Jim Carrey, Isla Fisher and Golden Globe winner Carol Burnett - entered its third week on the chart at number six.

Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba's thriller Awake debuted at seven, followed by another new entry, Japanese horror re-make One Missed Call.

Drillbit Taylor, starring Owen Wilson and co-scripted by Seth Rogen, was at nine while Vantage Point with Sigourney Weaver, Forest Whitaker and Lost's Matthew Fox took the number ten spot.
