Seigner and Pataky join Brody bunch

The Diving Bell And The Butterfly's Emmanuelle Seigner and Spanish-born actress Elsa Pataky are to join up with Oscar winning actor Adrien Brody in the first English-language thriller by Italian writer/director Dario Argento.

Giallo will see Brody - who won his Academy Award as Best Actor for 2002's The Pianist - playing an Italian detective on the trail of a serial killer, the Hollywood Reporter says.

He teams up with an American air stewardess whose sister was a victim of the psycho-about-town, who is rumoured to be played by Palookaville and Buffalo 66 actor Vincent Gallo.

Shooting on the movie is due to start in Italy in May, the site adds.

Brody has just finished work on sci-fi DNA thriller Splice and is currently filming on Cadillac Records, the story of legendary 1960s R&B record label Chess, which also stars Beyonce Knowles, Mos Def and Shiloh Fernandez.

His previous credits also include appearances in Terrance Malik masterpiece The Thin Red Line, Spike Lee thriller Summer Of Sam and Peter Jackson's blockbuster version of King Kong.
