Halle to meet Frankie And Alice

Oscar winner Halle Berry has signed up to star in independent psycho-thriller Frankie And Alice, Hollywood bible Variety has reported.

Produced by Toronto-based Access Motion Pictures, the film will feature Berry in the lead as a young woman tormented by multiple personality disorder.

According to the paper, she is torn between her true self and her alter-ego, a "racist Caucasian that preys upon her mind".

Berry - whose other films include the X-Men trilogy, Bond adventure Die Another Day and Monster's Ball, for which she won the best actress Oscar in 2002, will also produce on the project.

No production dates have been finalised yet, the newspaper states.

However, fear not Halle fans, because the Cleveland-born actress has plenty of other projects in the pipeline.

She has completed filming on legal drama Tulia and is rumoured to be on board for Who Is Doris Payne?, which is based on the true story of a 75-year-old woman who led a double life as an international jewellery thief.

In addition to winning an Academy Award, Berry also has the dubious distinction of being one of the few winners to turn up at the Razzie awards, which celebrate all things awful in film. She took the gong for 2005's Catwoman and even treated the audience to a parody of her emotional Oscar acceptance speech.
