21 sticks at summit of UK box officeThe based-on-a-true-story film, which stars Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Spacey and British-born actor Jim Sturgess, has now taken over £3.5 million at cinemas since it opened two weeks ago. It was followed in this week's top ten by new entry Fool's Gold, a romantic adventure starring Matthew McConaughey, Kate Hudson and screen legend Donald Sutherland. Quirky black comedy In Bruges with Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes was at number three. Another new entry, cop drama Street Kings starring Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker, was at four. British comedy Son Of Rambow was in at this week's number five, followed by the highest-grosser in the chart, fantasy blockbuster The Spiderwick Chronicles. Step Up 2: The Streets made it five weeks in the top ten at number seven, while former chart-topper 27 Dresses starring Katherine Heigl, James Marsden and Edward Burns, fell to number eight. Mike Leigh's latest offering, the eternally optimistic Happy-Go-Lucky debuted at nine, with the animated hi jinks of Horton Hears A Who! rounding things out at ten.
