Iron Man smashes $100m mark at US box officeThe superhero adaptation, which stars Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges, took a grand total of $102,118,668 to leave the competition choking on the dust from its specially-designed weapons suit. Made Of Honour starring Enchanted's Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan was a distant second, debuting with nevertheless respectable box office takings of $14.75 million. Together the pair pushed last week's number one, pregnancy comedy Baby Mama, down to three and while slacker laugh-up Harold And Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay was at four. Another chuckle-fest, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, took number this week's number five, ahead of kung fu extravaganza The Forgotten Kingdom, which stars the martial arts dream team of Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Family adventure Nim's Island claimed the number seven spot, ahead of teen slasher remake Prom Night. Casino drama 21 spent its sixth week on the chart at nine, with Al Pacino drama 88 Minutes completing the top ten.
