Downey Jr to get Hollywood star

Robert Downey Jr is among a list of celebrities to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Iron Man star is set to receive the accolade along with fellow actors Ralph Fiennes and Sir Ben Kingsley.

The stars will be officially unveiled on the Hollywood Boulevard during next year.

Other names to receive stars on the famous walk are Cameron Diaz, Hugh Jackman, Peter Pan character Tinkerbell, Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman and disco legends Village People.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Committee has drawn up a list of 25 celebrities who will get their place in the hallowed pavement

Downey Jr's is much in demand after his recent superhero hit, with news emerging that he is to star in Universal's new venture Cowboys and Aliens.

The movie will focus on a battle between Apache Indians and western settlers, which is interrupted by the crash landing of an alien spacecraft.
