Frost/Nixon to premiere at London Film Festival
New movie Frost/Nixon has been selected to open this year's London Film Festival, it has been confirmedThe movie is centres on a series of infamous interviews from 1977 in which British journalist David Frost quizzed former US president Richard Nixon about his departure from the White House. Directed by Oscar winner Ron Howard, the film allows Michael Sheen and Frank Langhella to reprise the roles they played in the stage version. The controversial interviews saw the disgraced president eventually admit to his part in the Watergate scandal. Screenwriter Peter Morgan said: "I've been so fortunate with Frost/Nixon, working with two world-class directors in theatre and film, and watching two lead actors at the top of their games. "Now, having the film premiere at my hometown just completes a thrilling, fairy-tale ride for me."
