Sigourney talks Wall-E

3 stars out of 5.0
Sigourney Weaver has been talking of her love for Pixar movies and how she was "delighted" to be involved with the studio's latest hit Wall-E.

The film, which tells the story of the last robot on earth after humans have evacuated the planet, has been hailed as Pixar's best picture yet.

Weaver, who is more readily associated with the tough character Ripley in the Alien movies, lends her voice to a spaceship computer in the animated tale.

The 59-year-old actress said she was aware she was cast "not for my talent but because I was in Aliens.

"As I don't have any stake in the film, I can objectively say I'm in love with every element. I've always been a stalwart fan of Pixar. I think this is a perfect movie. It's just such a wonder, a wonderful story."

Pixar has released several movies that have gone on to be huge family hits, including Toy Story, Monsters Inc and Ratatouille.
