Mulder and Scully attend X-Files premiere

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny attended the premiere of the long-awaited X-Files movie in Los Angeles last night (July 23rd).

Fans of the massively popular sci-fi show have been eagerly awaiting the return of their characters, Mulder and Scully, since the series came to an end in 2002.

The London-born actress showed off her expanding baby bump in a plunging blue gown at the opening of the new movie I Want To Believe at Graumann's Chinese Theatre.

However, the 39-year-old recently admitted she found filming the stunt sequences for the film harder than in her younger days.

"I was 24 when I first started the television series and now I'm almost 40. I'm too old for this," she said.

"David's in the best shape of his life, though, and did most of the work. He was climbing and jumping off cliffs."

The X-Files: I Want To Believe opens in UK cinemas on July 30th.
