Simon Pegg in talks for Tarantino film

British actor Simon Pegg is reportedly in negotiations to take a role in Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming movie Inglorious Bastards.

After starring in the cult TV comedy series Spaced, Pegg went on to appear in a string of hit movies, including Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz.

It is believed he may sign up to play a British lieutenant alongside Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt, who has just been confirmed for the project.

Pitt is set to play Lieutenant Aldo Raine, the leader of a Jewish resistance behind enemy lines in World War II.

It is the first time the Kill Bill director will have worked with Pitt and producer Lawrence Bender told the Hollywood Reporter they should make for an exciting partnership.

"They're going to push each other and really help make something special," he said.

Filming is scheduled to begin in October in Germany, with the movie expected to premiere in Cannes next year.
