4 stars out of 5.0
The stars of Oceans Eleven have been leading the tributes to their co-star Bernie Mac, who passed away on Saturday aged 50.

Mac, who died due to complications arising from pneumonia, starred in the heist caper film and its two sequels alongside George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

Clooney paid tribute to him, saying: "The world just got a little less funny. He will be dearly missed."

Brad Pitt also mourned the loss of the actor and Emmy-nominated comedian, saying: "I lament the loss of a ferociously funny man."

Fellow Ocean's star Don Cheadle also commented: "This is a very sad day for many of us who knew and loved Bernie… He will be missed, but heaven just got funnier."

Mac also starred in Guess Who, Transformers and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, while his long-running sitcom The Bernie Mac Show found critical and public acclaim in the US.

He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Rhonda, a daughter and a granddaughter.
