Trio donate fees to Ledger's daughter

5 stars out of 5.0
The three actors who have replaced Heath Ledger in his final film have donated their salaries to his daughter.

Filming on Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was suspended when the Australian actor was found dead from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January.

However, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law shot remaining scenes in the film following Ledger's death.

Speaking to the Sun newspaper, Gilliam said: "The great thing about it was when Heath died those three actors came along and saved the day. It's now four actors creating one character.

"The three actors were totally heroic coming in because this doesn't happen very often, where there is a tragedy and very famous and successful actors come in and say OK we'll do whatever it takes to help. To be part of that is wonderful."

Ledger recently received much praise from his fellow actors for his role as The Joker in Christopher Nolan's Batman film The Dark Knight.
