Pegg and Anderson hit red carpetHow To Lose Friends And Alienate People is an adaptation of Toby Young's book which documents his time working for Vanity Fair magazine in New York. Pegg plays the central character - based on author Young while X-Files star Anderson takes the role of a glamorous agent. "Peter Straughan, who did the adaptation, did a great job of creating this fictional version of Toby," the Hot Fuzz star explained. "He's an idiot, and it's fun playing an idiot." The film also stars Megan Fox, whose recent role in Transformers has brought her much attention. However, director Robert Weide denied this was why she was chosen, saying: "Transformers was months away from coming out when we cast her. "Now everyone says, 'You cast her because of Transformers?' No I didn't! I knew nothing about it."
