Brolin in negotiations for DC Comics adaptationThe actor, who also starred in American Gangster, Planet Terror and Hollow Man among other in a long-running move career, is currently discussing terms with Warner Bros about appearing in the film. Jonah Hex follows the story of the title character, who is a disfigured, gun-slinging bounty hunter in the Wild West. Originally penned by DC Comics in the 1970s, the character is set to follow in the tradition of others including Superman and Batman in being immortalised on the big screen. Jonah Hex was written by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, with the duo also set to direct the film. Brolin recently admitted that his actor father almost put him off from pursuing a career in Hollywood. In an interview, he added that when growing up he was "resentful of showbiz".
