Connelly and Hoffman make move for Macbeth
A film version of Shakespeare's Macbeth is to feature Hollywood stars Jennifer Connelly and Philip Seymour Hoffman.Todd Louiso, better known for his acting than his directing, will direct the adaptation of the Scottish play. He has appeared in front of the cameras in The Rock, Jerry Maguire and High Fidelity, whilst his sole directorial roles came with Love Liza and The Fifteen Minute Hamlet, in which Hoffman also appeared. Connelly, who has appeared in Hulk, A Beautiful Mind and Requiem For A Dream, is expected to play the role of Lady Macbeth. Meanwhile, Hoffman is likely to perform as Macbeth, though his versatility in such successful films such as The Big Lebowski, The Talented Mr. Ripley and Cold Mountain, could lend him to other roles within the project.
