Altman finds location for new film
Experienced director Robert Altman, the man behind five Academy Award nominated films such as Gosford Park, has found the location for his new film project.A Prairie Home Companion will be shot at the Fitzgerald Theatre, in St. Paul, Minneapolis, with filming expected to start in July. Altman has assembled another all-star cast for his latest venture, including De-Lovely and Wild Wild West actor Kevin Kline and rising star Lindsay Lohan, of Mean Girls and Freaky Friday fame. The film also boasts one of Hollywood's finest, The Hours and Adaptation actress Meryl Streep. She has been nominated for an Academy Award no fewer than 13 times, winning twice with her roles in Kramer vs Kramer and Sophie's Choice. In addition, Lily Tomlin, who also starred in I Heart Huckabees and Tea With Mussolini, works with Altman yet again. The film is based on Garrison Keillor's radio series, and Keillor has now penned the screenplay and will also appear in the film himself. Titles related to this articleRelated/similar articles
