Bullock to star in The BlindsideThe star, best known for her roles in Speed and Miss Congeniality, will star in the feature film adaptation of the best-selling novel by Michael Lewis entitled The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game. Bullock, formerly known as Hollywood's "rom-com go-to girl", will be directed by John Lee Hancock in the role. The Blindside tells the true story of Michal Oher, who is set to be one of the first athletes in this year's NFL draft. He was a homeless black teenager from a broken home until he was taken in by a "well-to-do white family", with Bullock set to play the matriarchal figure in Oher's new suburban home. It was recently reviewed that Bullock's latest film All About Steve is set to have its release date pushed back in the US as fellow romantic comedies Confessions of a Shopaholic and He's Just Not That Into You are currently providing stiff competition for it.
