The Kid is a 1921 silent comedy directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin and featuring Jackie Coogan, as his adopted son. The film was the second-highest grossing film in 1921, after The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

The Little Tramp (Chaplin) finds an abandoned baby in an alley and takes him in as his own. Five years on the duo become inseparable partners in crime, scamming people to make a penny. But when a local orphanage intrude their family home and the boy's mother returns, the Tramp is forced to fight for his family...
