M. Night Shyamalan speak to us about taking the TV series to the big-screen...
Director M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) returns with his Hollywood remake of the popular animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. In this exclusive interview we speak to the main man himself about delving into untapped territory with big-budget special effects and the use of martial arts in the movie.
The first of a planned trilogy, The Last Airbender stars Noah Ringer as Aang, a reluctant hero with a penchant for adventure. Aang and his friends, Katara and Sokka, journey to the North Pole to find a Waterbending master to teach them the secrets of his craft. At the same time, the current Fire Lord of the Fire Nation is waging a seemingly endless war against the Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribes and the already vanquished Air Nomads. With blistering visual effects, The Last Airbender invites you on a journey you will not forget.
The Last Airbender hits cinemas on 13th August.
