Eastwood prepares for Flags of Our Fathers

Double Oscar winner Clint Eastwood is preparing to start filming on his next movie Flags of Our Fathers next month.

The actor-turned-director who won his second Oscar for Million Dollar Baby earlier this year, will work with Steven Spielberg on the project to be based on a book by James Bradley.

Spielberg, whose recent movies include War Of The Worlds with Tom Cruise and Catch Me If You Can starring Leonardo DiCaprio, will take the role of producer.

The movie will be based on the battle of Iwo-Jima and the raising of the American flag on this tiny island where the Americans fought the Japanese during World War Two.

The cast will include Gosford Park's Ryan Phillippe, who also appeared in Cruel Intentions, and Native American actor Adam Beach.
