Ferrell hits screens Kicking & Screaming

The latest Will Ferrell comedy is released in the UK today, as soccer comedy Kicking & Screaming comes to cinemas across the country.

Ferrell has been in high demand over the past two years, working on films such as Elf, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Wedding Crashers and Bewitched.

In his latest venture, he plays the role of Phil Weston, an incompetent father who tries to coach his son's soccer team.

Robert Duvall, the experienced actor who has appeared in The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and Gone In Sixty Seconds, plays his father, Buck, and coach of a rival team.

Kicking & Screaming is directed by Jesse Dylan, whose most recent hit was American Wedding, with Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Alyson Hannigan.

The script was written by Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick, who worked together on the screenplays for The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 2 and Space Jam.
