Sofia Coppola checks-in for Somewhere
The film will centre on a bad-boy actor living a life of excess at the Chateau, who is forced to reassess his life when his 11-year-old daughter shows up out of the blue.
Stephen Dorff (Blade) and Elle Fanning, the younger sister of Dakota, will star in the film, which Sofia said will be "an intimate story set in contemporary Los Angeles", in a recent interview with Variety.
This will not be the first time the writer-director daughter of Francis Ford Coppola has used a hotel as the setting for a film her Oscar-winning 2003 film Lost in Translation was shot in Tokyo's Park Hyatt.
Somewhere will reunite the director with the same production team who helped turn Lost in Translation into a critical and popular success and her dad will also be executive producing for good measure.
Francis is famous for bringing the Godfather mafia novels to the big screen on three separate occasions and his new film Tetro will open at the Cannes Film Festival next month.
