Jet Li let off his leashLi plays the role of Danny, a man who has been raised as a dog, kept in a cage all his life and learning only to fight. Danny's fighting abilities are so fearsome that he is used solely to make money for his corrupt owner Bart, played by Bob Hoskins, the actor who has appeared in Vanity Fair and Maid In Manhattan. The film also stars Million Dollar Baby and Bruce Almighty star Morgan Freeman, who takes Danny under his wing when he manages to escape captivity. The film is directed by Louis Leterrier, whose only other offering as a director is The Transporter 2, with Jason Statham. Unleashed was written by fellow Frenchman Luc Besson, who has directed other thrillers such as The Fifth Element and Leon. |
