Margaret to start shooting in September

Margaret, a new ensemble drama set in New York with an all-star cast, is due to start filming in the Big Apple next month.

The film has been written and will be directed by Kenneth Lonergan, the man who wrote the screenplay for Analyze This, with Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal.

He also wrote Martin Scorcese's Gangs Of New York, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis, Cameron Diaz and Liam Neeson.

Margaret will star Mark Ruffalo, who has appeared in Collateral and 13 Going On 30 and X-Men actress Anna Paquin.

Inspector Gadget and Election actor Matthew Broderick and Matt Damon, star of The Bourne Supremacy and Ocean's Twelve, will also feature.

The leading characters find their lives are brought together by a tragic bus accident, as a girl tries to establish whether or not the crash was caused intentionally.
