Danny McBride to star in Hench
McBride, who has made cameo appearances in Tropic Thunder and Pineapple Express, will play an ex-American football player who signs up as a henchman for a successful villain.
He will write a script with Shawn Harwell, who he worked with on HBO series Eastbound and Down, inspired by a graphic novel by Adam Beechen and Mario Bello.
Thanks to the success of his minor roles, McBride will soon be appearing on our screens alongside Will Ferrell and Anna Friel in Land of the Lost.
He is also currently lending his vocal talents to Despicable Me, a family animation about a trio of orphan girls who cause the normally deplorable Groo to rethink his plan to steal the moon.
Jason Segel, Steve Carell and Russell Brand also star.
