Depp cements place on Hollywood Boulevard

2 stars out of 5.0
Johnny Depp has become the latest actor to set his hands and feet in wet concrete on the world famous Hollywood Boulevard.

The ceremony, that took place at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, was witnessed by several hundred fans, and Depp's girlfriend, French actress Vanessa Paradis.

Depp was delighted to join stars such as Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise, Richard Gere, Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, Jim Carrey and Al Pacino in receiving the honour.

He said: "To say that this is overwhelming is probably the understatement of the millennium."

Depp's moment in the spotlight coincides with the release of his latest film Corpse Bride, which has been directed by Tim Burton, and features the voices of Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Richard E Grant, Joanna Lumley and Albert Finney.

The actor has already enjoyed considerable success this year with Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, and is currently filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates Of The Caribbean 3.
