Wolf Creek should not be released, say Aussie prosecutors

3 stars out of 5.0
Lawyers in Australia are afraid that the release of the horror movie Wolf Creek in the country may prejudice the trial of the alleged murderer.

The film is in part based on the disappearance of British tourist Peter Falconio.

Prosecutors have asked the distributors to delay release as the trial of the backpacker's alleged killer, Bradley Murdoch, is due to begin in Darwin on Monday.

Already on general release in the UK, Wolf Creek is the directorial debut for Melbourne filmmaker Greg McLean.

The film tells the story of three young backpackers who experience a terrifying journey after being abducted in the isolated Australian outback.

Starring John Jarratt, Nathan Phillips, Cassandra Magrath and Kestie Morassi, it is scheduled to release in cinemas across Australia on November 3rd.
