Tim Burton exhibition to open in New York
The display will showcase artwork from Burton's 27-year career, including pen and ink sketches of Edward Scissorhands and watercolour paintings from The Nightmare Before Christmas, reports Newsweek.
More than 700 pieces of his work will be on display at the exhibition, which will run from November 22nd to April 26th next year.
Speaking about the showcase, Burton said: "I didn't grow up in a real museum culture. I think I went to the Hollywood Wax Museum as my first museum I was of that generation where I got more out of The Beverly Hillbillies than Monet."
Burton has made six films with American actor Johnny Depp - Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
He is currently working on Alice in Wonderland, which also stars Depp and Burton's partner Helena Bonham Carter.
