Connery to play Vet, Sir Billi The Vet
The movie star knight is to appear in a low budget cartoon made in Scotland that tells the veterinary tale of Sir Billi, who has more than a passing similarity to Sir Sean, and his sidekick goat, voiced by fellow Scot Alan Cumming (Goldeneye, Titus).
Richard Briers (Much Ado About Nothing, Love's Labour's Lost) and Miriam Margolyes (Ladies In Lavender, Romeo + Juliet) are both to give their voices to characters along with TV presenter Gail Porter and Ruby Wax.
Connery recently picked up a lifetime achievement award at the European Film Awards in recognition of his great career that has included over 70 films such as The Man Who Would Be King, A Bridge Too Far, Highlander, The Russia House and, of course, the James Bond movies.
The award was presented by Jacques Annaud, who directed him in The Name Of The Rose.
Sir Sean has previously given his vocal talents to a movie just once before as a dragon in Dragonheart and more recently he did the same for the computer game version of From Russia With Love.
