Radcliffe could appear in West End
The star of the Harry Potter series is being lined up to play the role of a youngster who blinds horses in the play Equus, written by Peter Shaffer. The character would require the star to simulate an orgasm whilst riding naked on a back of a horse.
Equus looks at the life of a 17-year-old male after he is sent to a psychiatrist for treatment. The challenging play discusses whether psychological healing makes the youth worse, and caused controversy when it was first opened three decades ago.
If Radcliffe agrees to appear, it will be the second time he has worked with Kenneth Branagh after making a guest appearance in the director's comedy The Play What I Wrote.
Radcliffe is currently working on Rod Hardy's The December Boys alongside Teresea Palmer and Christian Byers. Filming on the next Harry Potter film, The Order Of The Phoenix, is due to begin next year.
It is expected that much of the cast will stay the same, including Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley.
