Leona Lewis records Avatar song
X-Factor winner Leona Lewis has recorded the lead song for science fiction film Avatar.
The popstar's track I See You will play during the closing credits of director James Cameron's upcoming movie.
A message on Leona's website said: "We are proud to announce that Leona will record the signature song to the upcoming science fiction film, Avatar."
It has been reported that James Horner and Simon Franglen will be producing the new track. The pair previously worked with Celine Dion on My Heart Will Go On, the song from Cameron's 1997 Titanic.
Avatar, which is expected to set new standards in big screen special effects, has been in development for 12 years and uses state of the art technology to create a 3D computer-generated world.
Starring Sigourney Weaver and James Worthington, the film, about an alien race defending their land against human invasion, will be released in December.
