Kate thanks super Spacey

Stunning American actress Kate Bosworth has offered her thanks to screen legend Kevin Spacey for helping her land the role of Lois Lane in the new Superman film.

The 23-year-old Blue Crush star will play opposite Spacey, who plays villain Lex Luthor, and alongside Brandon Routh, who has the starring role in Superman Returns.

And Bosworth revealed that director Bryan Singer was won over by Spacey's desire to see the sexy youngster play Lois.

"Bryan told Kevin they were looking to cast Lois Lane," Bosworth explained to OK! Magazine.

"Kevin told him he had just worked with me and that he should take a look at the film and see what he thinks.

"I feel like a huge part of why I got the role was because of Kevin and how he put me forward."

Bosworth and Spacey starred together in his 2004 film Beyond The Sea, while Singer directed The Usual Suspects which also starred Spacey.
