Garcia Bernal: Latest film is 'provocative'

New film Mammoth is "provocative", according to the film's lead actor Gael Garcia Bernal.

The Mexican actor, best known for his role in Babel, said he knew Swedish filmmaker Lukas Moodysson's latest film would be challenging and "confrontational".

"I definitely knew that it was going to be a confrontational film, that it was going to be provocative in a certain way. I really liked this movie after reading the script", he said.

He added that "Lukas profiles people in a sharp, vulnerable way that many people can find irritating, while many others can love".

The film sees Gael play the role of an internet entrepreneur, while Michelle Williams stars as his surgeon wife Ellen. Their eight-year-old daughter, who is played by Sophie Nyweide, spends most of her time with a Filipino nanny. After a business trip to Thailand, the couple are left questioning what is really important to them
