What's with all the carry on?
Carry On Columbus in 1992, can now step aside with not so much as an 'oo er missus' as plans to resurrect 2003's doomed Carry On London gain momentum.
With former Eastenders Shaun Williamson and Daniella Westbrook no longer involved, the people behind the new project, Intandem Films, will be looking to a more contemporary Eastenders old boy, Shane Richie, and former soccer hard man turned Hollywood hero Vinny Jones, to provide the mirth.
Swedish glamour model Victoria Silvstedt is also on board for the picture that will follow the fortunes of a London limo company, owned by Richie's character, as the Herberts, a British version of the Oscars, arrive in the capital.
The movie will be directed by Peter Richardson and is expected to have a budget of £6.4 million, with 92-year-old Carry On creator Peter Rogers taking on executive producing duties.
Carry On Columbus was the 31st Carry On film and featured the likes of Rick Mayall, Julian Clarey and Keith Allen but was panned by critics and slumped at the box office.
