Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman to star in new film
Called Bel Ami, the steamy film will see Pattinson play journalist Georges Duroy, who achieves success by manipulating some of Paris' most influential women, Production Weekly reported.
Based on Guy de Maupassant's book of the same name, Thurman is said to play the wife of the lead character.
According to the report, Christina Ricci will play the role of Clotilde de Marelle, the wife of a railway official who is often away on business.
Ricci and Pattinson's characters will be seen striking up an affair during the film, which is to be co-directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod.
Kristin Scott Thomas will also star as another of Duroy's socialite paramours.
Pattinson is best known for playing the role of vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga films. The third instalment of the franchise is due to be released on July 9th.
