Harrison Ford swaps action for drama in new film
The drama tells the true story of a couple who formed their own bio-tech company to try to find a cure for their two children's rare genetic disorder, the Press Association reported.
John and Aileen Crowley, the couple whose real-life story the film is based around, joined the pair in the film.
Speaking about the film, Ford, who is best know for playing Indiana Jones and Han Solo in Star Wars, said he hoped people would feel uplifted by the story.
"I hope people will feel good about the time they've spent in the [movie] theatre. They'll feel positive and they'll have the chance to celebrate their common humanity and feel good about it," he told the news provider.
Ford, who stars as scientist Dr Robert Stonehill, also helped produce the film, for which he's given an executive producer credit.
"It was easy, separate cheques, so not a problem," the actor joked.
