Robert Pattinson's Remember Me premieres

New film Remember Me, which stars Robert Pattinson, has premiered in New York.

The film, which also stars Emilie de Ravin as the eccentric Ally, centres on two lovers whose newfound relationship is put under threat as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies.

Commenting on her role, Emile said: "I just fell in love with it immediately and fell in love with Ally."

"She's such an interesting combination of things."

James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan also stars, alongside Chris Cooper, Martha Plimpton, Lena Olin and Ruby Jerins.

Brosnan has special praise for Twilight actor Pattinson, who worked as an executive producer on Remember Me.

"This young man Robert Pattinson has the bull by the horns and he's got his head on his shoulders well," he told US TV programme The Insider.

Remember Me is due to be released on April 2nd.
