Alice in Wonderland still top in the US
The 3D epic, which stars Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, netted $34.5 million (£22.89 million) over the weekend, bringing its US total to nearly $265.8 million.
New entry Diary of a Wimpy Kid took the second spot, taking in $21.8 million. Starring Zachary Gordon and Robert Capron, the film was adapted from Jeff Kinney's illustrated novel and tells the story of a wise-cracking junior high-school student.
Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler's latest film, The Bounty Hunter, debuted at the third spot, while Jude Law's Repo Man opened at four.
Romantic comedy She's Out of My League fell two places to five, while Green Zone dropped four spots to the sixth position.
