McKellen makes music with the Scissor Sisters
Pop/rock band the Scissor Sisters have enlisted Lord Of The Rings star Sir Ian Mckellen to add some magic to their upcoming album.
The veteran actor, who plays wizard Gandalf in the hit movie series, has recorded a monologue for the band, which will be used in a song on their new album Night Work.
The spoken-word piece will be played over the record's closing track Invisible Light, and features McKellen talking about "Babylon, where mortal diamonds tower (a place where) whores, gladiators and party children all wake from their slumber".
Night Work is due for release on 28 June (10).
