Dwayne Johnson: I enjoyed working with Stephen Merchant
Speaking to the Metro, the wrestler-turned-actor said: "I enjoyed working with Stephen Merchant. He was wonderful. I've been such a big fan of his acting.
"I had no idea he was Ricky Gervais's writing partner and responsible for a lot of the shows they had written."
He revealed that he specifically wanted to work with Merchant because he was "so talented" in Extras, adding that the he though the "physical juxtaposition between he and I would be funny on screen".
The film, which also stars Julie Andrews, Ashley Judd, Ryan Skeckler, Seth MacFarlane and Chase Ellison, tells the story of a minor-league hockey player, who after a bad deed has to work for one week as a real-life tooth fairy.
