Kate Hudson: I'm taking a short break from acting

Kate Hudson has revealed that she is planning to take a short break from acting in the future.

The actress, who is currently filming Something Borrowed, told Entertainment Tonight that she plans on going on holiday.

"As soon as I finish this movie I am going to go see my mum and dad! I am going to find them, they are overseas somewhere.

"We are all going to have a family vacation, I am really looking forward to it, I haven't had one in a while."

In Something Borrowed, which is due for release in 2011, Hudson plays Darcy, a Manhattan attorney who becomes involved with her best friend's fiance.

The film also stars John Krasinski, Ginnifer Goodwin and Steve Howey.

Hudson, who has previously been nominated for the best supporting actress Oscar because of her role in Almost Famous, will next be seen in the Killer Inside Me and Earthbound.
