Julie Walters: Filming last Harry Potter scenes was upsetting
The actress, who plays Molly Weasley in the wizard franchise, told Hello that she was upset by the end of shooting.
She added that she kept thinking about how much the franchise's young stars have grown up since the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was made.
"It was sad. They were all little tots when we started and now they are great big blokes and girls," she said.
"I felt very sad on the last day. Being part of such a huge phenomenon was amazing. It has meant that a whole generation of children recognise me now."
Based on the books by J.K Rowling, the films, which star Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, tell the story of three young wizard friends.
The final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, has been split into two films. The first instalment will be released in November.
