Felicity Jones: Working with Helen Mirren was extraordinary
In the film, which is directed by Julie Taymor and based on William Shakespeare's play, the gender of Prospero has been switched to Prospera, played by Mirren.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Jones said working with both actors was "absolutely extraordinary".
"They're both brilliant actors so I had a fantastic learning experience watching them work. Obviously Julie Taymor is an insane visionary so it's great to be a part of it," she commented.
The Tempest, which will be released in the US on December 10th, also stars Alfred Molina, Djimon Hounsou and Alan Cumming.
Jones recently appeared in Shimmy Marcus's SouBoy and is currently working on Albatross, which also stars Julia Ormond and Sebastian Koch.
She also plays Kim in the upcoming film Chalet Girl, which is due for release later this year.
