Shia LaBeouf: Oliver Stone is a great director
Speaking to the Metro, the actor, who worked with Stone on Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, said the director gives people freedom on set.
"He understands emotion, he's vulnerable, he listens, he doesn't just tell you what to do. He will ask, 'Which chair do you want, Shia?'. He does that type of thing, as opposed to, 'You're sitting there', which allows for more freedom for the actor," LaBeouf explained.
Money Never Sleeps is a follow up to the 1987 hit Wall Street. The new film stars Michael Douglas, who played iconic antagonist Gordon Gekko in the original, Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan and Susan Sarandon, as well as LaBeouf.
Due to be released today, the movie focuses on a Wall Street trader in the run-up to the global economic downturn.
LaBeouf is currently filming Transformers 3, where he returns to the role of Sam Witwicky. It will reach US cinemas in July 2011.
