Connery's golf rage at Caine

Sir Michael Caine swore off golf following a lesson with Sir Sean Connery - because the former Bond star flew into a rage and snapped his club in half.

Caine once joined his The Man Who Would Be King co-star for a round on a golf course but he was put off the sport for good after infuriating his actor pal.

In Caine's autobiography, The Elephant to Hollywood, he recalls, "Sean has a terrible temper and when he tried to teach me golf he was so incensed by my performance that he grabbed my club and broke it in two. I have never played golf since."
