Social Network 'retains US top spot'

The Social Network has retained its place at the top of the US box office.

Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake and Rooney Mara, the film tells the story of the founding of Facebook.

Life As We Know It, starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel debuted at two, ahead of another new entry, The Secretariat.

The Secretariat tells the story of Penny Chenery (played by Diane Lane), owner of the racehorse Secretariat, who won the Triple Crown in 1973.

Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'Hoole slipped two places to four, while new entry My Soul to Take debuted at five.

The Town fell from four to six, ahead of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Easy A.

Renee Zellweger film Case 39, a thriller about a social worker who is fighting to save a girl (Jodelle Ferland) from her abusive parents, was another new entry at nine, while You Again claimed the tenth spot.
