Anne Hathaway: I was taken aback by Love and Other Drugs script
Due to be released in the UK in December, the film tells the story of a free-spirited girl who doesn't want anyone or anything to tie her down.
Speaking to Vogue, the actress said she was initially concerned that the movie was too melodramatic but added that she was impressed with writer-director Edward Zwick's ability to create a sense of realism.
She also admitted that it was easier to strip for the role because it seemed like something her character would do.
"These are people who have no trouble taking their clothes off - in a way, their bodies are their currency … But they're terrified of exposing their vulnerability, of becoming emotionally naked," she explained.
Love and Other Drugs also stars Jake Gyllenhall, Hank Azaria and Katheryn Winnick.
