Megamind stays top of US box office
Megamind has continued its reign at the top of the US box office, with the animated film halting rival Unstoppable in its tracks.
The film, which features the voices of Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey and Brad Pitt, tells of the supervillain Megamind, who after conquering his nemesis finds that his life is pointless without a hero to fight.
Tony Scott's Unstoppable debuted at two. Starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson, the film focuses on a unmanned, half-mile-long freight train which is heading towards a city.
Due Date slipped one place to three, while new film Skyline opened at four. Starring Eric Balfour, Donald Faison and Scottie Thompson, the ski-fi thriller focuses on strange lights which draw people outside.
Morning Glory was another new entry at five, while For Colored Girls slipped three places to six.
Red also dropped from number four last week to this week's seventh spot, ahead of Paranormal Activity 2.
Saw 3D and Jackass 3d rounded off the top ten list.
