A Halloween alternative

Halloween is a time for scaring yourself silly with a good horror film - but there are plenty of new releases for those who would prefer something more light-hearted.

Fans of My Name is Earl can now watch the full first season as a hilarious alternative to the doom and gloom of Halloween, while the fourth season of surreal comedy series Scrubs is also out.

British spy thriller series Spooks also sees its fourth season on release, featuring all ten episodes and staring Peter Firth and Rupert Penry-Jones.

The seventh series of classic American hospital drama ER is also available, which picks up after the departure of Nurse Hathaway - played by Julianna Margulies - and follows the ups and downs of the staff and patients at County General.

Those who enjoy watching Matthew Fox as Jack in the mysterious Lost can now get hold of Party Of Five, the family drama in which he played Charlie Salinger.

Following the lives of five orphaned siblings, the first season of Party of Five is now available. Although it was made over ten years ago, fans of Fox are sure not to be disappointed with the show, which also stars Neve Campbell and Scott Wolf.
